Spring Break
Please!!!
Spring break starts tomorrow and one can feel the excitement in the air. My fellow classmates and all the students at my school have been waiting for this day since winter break had came to a cease. I for one do not plan to have my spring break waste away like last nights dinner, no way, I am not going down that road. I refuse to limit myself to movies, food and sleep no matter how great it sounds. With that being said, my plans for this up coming week is to win softball games, get my tempts and make the most of the time. Over this next week I plan to win at least two of the five game scheduled for softball, which might be a little far fetched considering the weather and the fact that we suck as a team. Although I have not read the book yet, I feel as I am ready to take the test to see weather of not I am ready to get my tempts. The only thing keeping me from taking the test is my fear of driving. Hopefully I can get over my fear in a week and get'er'done, and have fun while I am at it.

Promises
Better Left Unbroken
Making promises are like a daily routine in my life, because for some strange reason I ooze trust. Good thing I have the self control and wisdom to back up my promises. Most of the promises I make are insignificant in importance, but I do get a serious one every now and then. No matter how rare it is for me to break a promise, I feel awful afterwards, no matter how small. Just last week I promised my mother I would clean the basement if she would give me money, she agreed with excitement that the basement would not be disgusting. Five days later brings us to today, and I have money in my pocket and one horribly gross basement. Good news is my mother is very lazy and probably would not notice how dirty the basement is until she forgets about it.

Advice
The OGT's
Dear Freshmen,
Being a freshmen, you are preparing to take your Ohio Graduation Test, OGT's for short, which is very exciting yet a little frighting. So here is a little advice from me, a current sophomore, to you on what to expect when taking the OGT's. First, Do not underestimate them. They appear to be simple, but that is not the case. Second, reread. As I reread some of my answers I realized I messed up on plenty of the trick questions. Lastly, do not stress. The OGT's are a test of how well your memory is, and your ability to comprehend what is in front of you. So with that said I wish you all the luck, and remind you to take extra pencils.

Desperate Measures
Frozen
"Desperate time cause for desperate measures" is how the saying goes and in my case it was true. It was one in the morning on a dark, cold, snowy January day, and I was still at my friends house when my mother thought I was at home. I knew I had to go home because it was late and my mother would not be out forever, but there was a small problem, my friends mom was sleeping. I had to make a decision either to stay the night at her house and be grounded for life or freeze to death walking home. I rather freeze than get in trouble with my mother. As I was walking out the door I had gotten a text message from my mom saying she would be home soon because she was getting tired. I nearly peed myself, I knew their was no way I was making it three blocks to my house before my mom either seen me or beat me home, but I had to try. I started to run, but it was hard because I had on converse and the snow was up to my frozen ankles. I made it one block before I was out of breath and had to start walking, that is the moment I seen headlights behind me, I started to think of all the excuses my mind could possibly think of in such short notice. I turned around, thank goodness it was not my mom. After that I started to run behind the houses just in case that the next time I seen headlights I was not so lucky. The closer I got to my house the more relived I would get, next thing I knew I was no longer three blocks away, I was three houses away. That is when just a few houses back my moms car was at the stop light. My heart dropped. I was in a race against time and more importantly I was in a race against my mom. I finally made it to my door after what felt like an hour of running, ran inside took off my shoes, locked the doors and got in the shower. When I got out the shower my mom was sitting on the couch, and I said to her " about time your home, its almost two". When she said sorry I knew I was in the clear.Friday, February 28, 2014
Trust me
"Games are won at practice", at least that is what my coach always told my team. Every practice would end at the serving line, with the most frustrating drill of all, The Serving Game. The Serving Game is when all eleven girls, even the ones who do not serve in games, have to serve two times without the ball dropping. We tried so many different orders to get the it done faster, order did not really seem to matter. All we knew was we need people who can finish strong, with a level head, someone we could TRUST. It may not seem like a huge deal, but being be hide the line with the game on your hands is stressing. After twenty-one serves it was my turn to serve, if I made it over would could be done but if I did not we could be there for who knows how much longer. I never really stressed as much as my team, but I was honored to be able to have my whole team trust me. A trust I want to always have.

OGT!?!?!
History
I think I am the least prepared for
the history OGT. Right now I do well in history, but in class we learn what will be on the test at the end of the week. I think I am going to have trouble remembering all
of the information I had learned this far. In history there are sections that are hard to
understand, because they have a lot of dates to remember and I think I might
get those mixed up. Since I am worried so much about remembering everything
that I have learned so far in history, I am going to try to study each section thoroughly.
I am going to pay more attention to the strong points in each part of the
class. Differentiating the dates for each piece of history will help me to
remember all of the things that happened. Another strategy that I am going to
use is to make sure I understand all of the important terms that go along with each section in history. I think doing all of this will not only help me pass
the OGT but get accelerated on the history OGT.

Thanksgiving Break
What I am Thankful for
My brother, James, is in the United
States Marine Corps, and he lives in North Carolina. Him living there is a reason
why I rarely get to see him, not that I did when he lived at home, but it is
hard none the less. Him being a marine he does not get very much time off of “work”,
but over thanksgiving weekend he had got an extra three days of leave ( leave
is the word that my brother uses when he gets to come home for more than one
day). I also had an extra three days off of school that weekend because it was a
holiday break. On my brother’s leave I got to spend a whole day with him, just
the two of us. We went to Duncan Donuts, because it is my favorite place, and
ate hot coco dipped donuts. I had I
great time with my brother, over our long weekend. I am thankful for the short,
but meaningful time I had got to spend with my brother.

Its not that Unusual
Unusual
Just this weekend I did something I have never done before, I went to a cheer competition. My friend Leanna is a competitive cheerleader, and a good one at that. She is on a team named “Fierce”. I had never heard of competitive cheerleading, until she asked me if I wanted to go along with her, her mom and boyfriend. The whole time I was there I felt like I was in everyone way, with the pushing and shoving, it was just too much for me. When it was finally Leanna’s time to cheer, I do not know why but, I was still nervous, with the throwing and catching of the other cheerleaders, again it was just too much for me. Apparently it is part of cheerleading to be risky to have a good performance and it is very, very important to be flexible. We’ll all in all I had a lot of fun, being there to support my friend.

What will I fight for
Fight for the right
What does it mean to fight for something? It means to be willing to take a stand, to risk getting hurt by someone else just to defend a belief or object. And, if I value it, then it must be an ideal that makes my life worth living. For me, it is my dog, Cherry. Cherry was and is my first dog that I raised on my own, I got her when I was seven. She is no taller than a liter of soda and just as wide. Cherry is sun to my shine, she is the color to my rainbow with her my world dark and colorless. But with all seriousness, my dog is a part of my family I cannot live without. I will fight for my dog, because I cannot imagine my life without her, in fact it hurts me just thinking of losing her as I write this. Cherry, does make my life worth living as crazy as it sounds.
If I can go anywhere I have never been
ALOHA!
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I HAD TOLD MY DAD THAT I WAS GOING TO INVENT A STATE THAT WAS THE SAME TEMPERATURE ALL YEAR LONG, BUT THEN HE HAD BROKEN MY DREAMS BY TELLING ME ABOUT HAWAII. EVER SINCE THEN I WANTED TO VIST THE PLACE I HAD THOUGHT OF IN MY DREAMS, HAWAII. I HEARD SO MANY STORIES OF ALL THE ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO THERE, LIKE SURFING, SWIMING, SCUBADIVING, SITE SEEING, TRYING NEW FOODS, THE FRUIT, AND MY FAVORITE RELAXING. MY DREAM DAY IN HAWAII WILL START AT ALL OF THE CUTE LITTLE STORES, THEN I WILL GO TO THE BEACH, AND I WILL END THE DAY BY GETTING A MASSAGE AND EAT A ETHNIC MEAL. AHHHH, I CAN SEE MYSELF NOW BEING POOL SIDE WITH GRAPES BEING FED TO ME. MY ONLY FEAR OF ME GOING TO HAWAII IS, NOT WANTIN TO COME BACK.

My invention
When I was eight I came up with
many inventions that I thought would better the world in some way. As I got
older I started to forget them one by one, until I had almost none left. Although
I still remember one, which I think is the best of all, the Prescription
Goggles. I came up with the idea when my cousin and I were swimming, but we
could not play any games because she could not see very well. I had asked her “why
don’t you where your glasses”, she answered rudely, which I did not mind because
I had just came up with the best idea ever. Prescription Goggles would solve
many problems for many people, not just for a day in the water, but for marine biologist
and divers who are in the water for a living. I was so proud of myself, until I
found out they already exist.

If money were no object
If money were no object
If money were no object I would be a baker. A baker is a person who owns or is employed to make or sell bread, cakes pastries etc. I would be a baker because of the simple fact that I have and always will love sweets. The best part of baking is the process of making/baking to get the flavor or creation I want. They say “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work another day”-unknown origin. I know that if I were to become a baker I will not want to leave the kitchen or bring my work home with me, so I will never work a day in my life. After being an extremely successful baker I will become a baking teacher, to spread my love for baking. My school will be in the heart of many different cities, so I can get children out of the streets and into the kitchen. Hopefully my students will continue with baking, but if not they would take their experience and knowledge and use them in whatever they choose to do.

One thing that I would change in my life.
Surgery
If I could change one thing in my life
it would most definitely be my dog having a gall stone. I cannot imagine the
pain she had went through day and night. She could not tell me how she felt, so
it took a while for me to notice that she was acting strange. When I did finally
take her to the vet we found out she need emergency surgery. She is not the
only one who was affected by this unfortunate string of events. My father and I
also made some sacrifices. My father who had to pay for the costly surgery, because
he saw the pain and fear in my eyes, even though we were already going through
hard times. I was so afraid of everything that could go wrong. I cried my way through
the longest three days of my life. Not having to go through any of this would:
have protected my dog all of her pain, my father from the loss of his money,
and me the heart ache. My favorite activity
Volleyball
My favorite thing to do is play volleyball. Whether, it is on
a team or if it is just with a couple of friends. I am very completive so
sometimes my friends get a little mad, when I take things to seriously. I just
love winning; it gives me the greatest feeling like I won had won the lottery.
Another thing I love about volleyball is that I can be on a team, which I am.
My team is like my second family. I have my sister, the girl who is my partner my
mom, which is the person who takes things way to seriously. My favorite
cousins, the girls on my team that where/are close friends that I had known for
a while. Then I have a step monster also known as the girl everyone wishes was
not even on the team, but I still love the sport. It is a good place to escape
and just be myself. Volleyball is a place where anyone can make a mistake
without getting in trouble (Sometimes).

My Biggest Value
|
The thing I value the moI
have loved her from the day I got her to now and every day in between. She is
the best friend a girl can ever have, because she is not only mine I am hers. I
do not want to say I loved her more, after I almost lost her, so I going to say
I realized how much I loved her and will miss her if I lost her. Without Cherry
I would be lost and emotionally distraught. She means everything to me, and
that is why I value her so dearly. Even though she is lazy and sleeps half of
the time she is wild. She freaks out even if she hears the word “side”. She is practically human and that is only a
few of the reason I hold so close to my heart.st is my dog. Well I consider her
more like a part of my family, than my dog or pet.

The most interesting thing I did this summer
The Most Interesting Thing I
Did This Summer
I did a lot of fun,
interesting and excepting things this summer, but my favorite would have to be
when I went to Schlitterbahn. Schlitterbahn was voted "World's Best Water
Park" for fifth teen years in a row. Schlitterbahn is a water park that
uses recycled water, and its name means “slippery road” in German. That is
enough of its history, even though it is interesting. When I went to
Schlitterbahn I was with my Father my Uncle and my Aunt. There were a lot of water rides even some that
go up hill, which is crazy. I had to say I was twelve, even though I had just
turned 15, so we could get twenty dollars off my ticket. Despite me being upset
for really no reason, I had a lot of fun. We rode almost everything, even
though it was closed half of the time we were there due to lightning. We bonded
as a family, which I think was the whole point of going. I just hope we can do
go again next summer.

J represents Juno. Juno is the Roman mythology protector of women

My # 1 rule
We see i everyday. Some experience it, some watch it, and even more cause it. Bullying. There are many types of bullying. Such as verbal, physical and the most common Cyber. No one likes negative attention on them. So what is the reason we inflect it on each other? I think it is because we do not want the "bad" attention on ourselves. So my number one rule for life is "Just Don't do it". Bullying affects everyone evolved. Bullying can cause depression and anxiety. It cause a person a loss in interest in school which can cause them to fail. Bullies do not just stop their they then go on to more violent things. Such as drugs, alcohol and even go on to have criminal records. So do everyone a favor and "Just don't do it".
